Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Subject Lead – Curriculum Development to lead the academic and technical strategy for the Robotics vertical. This role involves not only developing robust, project-based learning experiences in Robotics and IoT but also leading a curriculum team, aligning educational content with the latest industry trends, and building scalable programs for implementation in schools and learning platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Curriculum Leadership
- Drive the vision and long-term roadmap for Robotics curriculum across different educational levels (Grades 4–12).
- Develop progressive learning pathways integrating Robotics, IoT, AI, and automation aligned with real-world applications and future skills.
- Lead the design of modular content suited for after-school programs, clubs, and formal school integration.
2. Team & Project Management
- Lead a team of curriculum developers, trainers, and project designers; provide guidance and review of content and pedagogical approaches.
- Collaborate with other departments (Space, AI, Cybersecurity) to align interdisciplinary projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of curriculum and content assets for offline and online programs.
3. Technical Oversight & Innovation
- Oversee the design and development of hands-on robotics and IoT projects using platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, etc.
- Ensure technical accuracy, feasibility, and educational value of all developed activities.
- Research and prototype new tools and kits for future inclusion in curriculum offerings.
4. Content & Program Development
- Build curriculum documentation such as lesson plans, student guides, teaching aids, and assessment rubrics.
- Create formats for competitions, challenges, and hackathons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Contribute to the creation of content for online learning platforms including videos, quizzes, and interactive exercises.
5. Engagement & Capacity Building
- Conduct internal training sessions for educators and facilitators on newly developed content and tools.
- Organize and lead webinars, educator workshops, and student engagement events.
- Attend and represent the organization at academic events, exhibitions, and external meetings.
Required Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of robotics systems and components (motors, sensors, controllers, actuators).
- Expertise in microcontrollers and prototyping platforms: Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.
- Proficient in programming languages: C/C++, Python, and block-based languages like Scratch or Blockly.
- Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets) and cloud platforms (Blynk, Firebase, ThingSpeak).
- Experience working with educational robotics kits: Lego EV3, VEX, Makeblock, or custom DIY setups.
- Exposure to 3D design and printing tools (Tinkercad, Fusion 360) is an advantage.
- Competence in documentation and curriculum tools: MS Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Notion.
- Working knowledge of video-based content tools for digital learning (OBS Studio, Camtasia, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in robotics education, content development, or educational R&D.
- Proven experience in leading curriculum or program development teams.
