Role Purpose
The Innovation Lab Head – Coimbatore will serve as the academic, operational, and strategic leader of the center. This role goes far beyond teaching — it involves building programs, mentoring trainers, guiding students, engaging with parents and schools, driving innovation outcomes, and scaling the regional operation.
This is a high-impact leadership role with a clear growth path toward Regional or National Academic Leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Innovation Leadership
● Design and execute progressive learning pathways for students aged 6–18 years across:
○ Robotics
○ Artificial Intelligence
○ Coding & Programming
○ Electronics & IoT
○ Drones & Aeromodelling
○ 3D Design & Prototyping
○ Space Science & Applied Research
● Build structured beginner → advanced → research-level tracks. ● Ensure hands-on, project-based and future-skill aligned learning. ● Guide advanced students for:
○ Innovation challenges
○ National/International competitions
○ Research internships & product development
2. Trainer Leadership & Team Building
● Recruit, train, mentor and manage multi-domain trainers.
● Set KRAs, teaching standards, performance reviews and upskilling plans. ● Ensure consistency in training quality, discipline and student outcomes.
3. Student Excellence & Research Culture
● Develop a strong innovation, problem-solving and research mindset in students. ● Lead:
○ Innovation exhibitions
○ Hackathons
○ Demo days
○ Internal competitions
● Mentor student teams for FLL, WRO, Hackathons, Research Projects & Science Challenges.
4. Parent, School & Stakeholder Engagement
● Lead:
○ Parent orientations
○ Demo sessions
○ Open houses
○ School partnerships
● Act as the academic face of Lab of Future in Coimbatore. ● Build long-term trust with schools, communities and industry partners.
5. Business & Growth Responsibility
● Own:
○ Student enrollment targets
○ Batch planning
○ Lab utilization & scheduling
● Support admissions and marketing teams through:
○ Demo delivery
○ Program explanation
○ Academic credibility
● Work toward center profitability and sustainable growth.
6. Operations, Quality & Safety
● Maintain:
○ Lab safety protocols
○ Equipment management
○ Student behavior & discipline systems
● Ensure adherence to:
○ SOPs
○ Daily reporting
○ Weekly performance reviews
○ Academic quality audits
7. Strategic Growth & Expansion
● Play a core role in:
○ Introducing new programs
○ Launching competitions
○ Research collaborations
○ Curriculum innovation
● Contribute to regional and national expansion strategy.
Eligibility & Experience
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
○ Robotics
○ Engineering
○ Computer Science
○ Mechatronics
○ Electronics
○ STEM Education
● Minimum 4–5 years of experience in:
○ Robotics / STEM training
○ Academic leadership
○ Innovation program management
● At least 3 years in a team-lead or center-head role preferred.
