Winter Camp FAQs

1. What is Lab of Future Winter Camp?

Lab of Future Winter Camp is a hands-on, immersive learning experience designed for students to explore and develop skills in cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, coding, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and more. Our winter camp programs encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking while providing a fun, interactive environment.

2. Who can attend the Winter Camp?

The Winter Camp is open to students aged 6–18. We offer different tracks based on age and skill level, ensuring that each participant has an engaging and appropriate experience.

3. When does the Winter Camp take place?

The Winter Camp runs from 8 December to 2 January 2025, with multiple sessions to accommodate different schedules. You can choose from Morning (9:30-12:30), Afternoon (13:00-16:00) options depending on your availability.

4. Where is the Winter Camp located?

Our Winter Camp takes place at two locations this year (1. Lab Of Future, Opp. Dubai Frame and 2. Expo City Dubai), centrally located for easy access. Both the facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources to enhance your learning experience.

5. What is the daily schedule like?

Each day is 3 hours session, packed with hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and learning sessions. A typical day includes:

  • 90 mins 1st spell: Skill-building workshops and guided projects
  • 15 mins break: Social time and outdoor activities
  • 60 mins 2nd spell: Group work, activity challenges, or individual projects
  • Last 15 mins is Wrap-up and showcase: Share your progress and learnings with peers and instructors

Exact schedules will vary depending on the track and age group.

6. Do participants need any prior experience with technology?

No prior experience is required! Our Winter Camp is designed to accommodate all skill levels. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced tracks, and our expert instructors provide personalized support to ensure every participant gets the most out of their experience.

7. What should my child bring to camp?

Participants should bring:

  • A water bottle and lunch/snacks
  • Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
  • A notebook and pen for taking notes and brainstorming
  • Any personal materials for special projects (if applicable)

We provide all necessary equipment for the activities, including computers, robotics kits, and tools for creative work.

8. Is there a lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided, so please pack a snack or lunch. 

9. How do I register for the Winter Camp?

10. What is the cost of the Winter Camp?

The cost of the Winter Camp is AED1500. Discounts are available for early registration and siblings.

11. What safety measures are in place for the camp?

We prioritize safety and well-being at Lab of Future. Our camp follows strict health protocols, including:

  • Limited group sizes to maintain a safe and supervised environment
  • Trained staff with background checks and first aid certifications
  • Enhanced hygiene practices and sanitation
  • Secure check-in and check-out procedures

In case of any emergencies or health concerns, we maintain a direct line of communication with parents/guardians.

12. Will there be any showcases or final presentations?

Yes! At the end of the Winter Camp, we hold a showcase event where campers present their projects to peers, parents, and instructors. It’s a fun and rewarding way to celebrate the hard work and creativity everyone has put into the camp.

13. Can I contact my child during camp hours?

If you need to contact your child during camp hours, you can reach out to our front desk at +971- 42856706, and we’ll ensure they get the message. We also encourage parents to use the Lab Of Future's LMS to track their child’s progress and receive updates.

14. What happens if my child misses a day?

If your child is unable to attend on a given day, please notify us as soon as possible. While we don’t offer make-up sessions during the camps, we do provide all camp materials and updates to ensure they stay on track with the rest of the group.

15. How can I get involved as a volunteer or instructor?

16. Are students divided as per age group during the sessions?

Yes, we divide the activities into 4 age groups: 6-7 years sit together, likewise for 8-10yrs, 11-14yrs and 15-18yrs.

17.  What measures are in place to ensure the safety and security of my child during transportation to and from the program?

We prioritize your child’s safety during transportation. Our services are outsourced to Shahid Transportation LLC, an RTA-approved provider. All drivers and attendants are trained and certified, and strict safety norms are followed.
