JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a passionate STEM Trainer – Robotics to deliver engaging, hands-on robotics learning experiences for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 and beyond (18+ years). The trainer will conduct activity-based classes, mentor students on robotics projects, monitor their progress, and prepare them for workshops, exhibitions, hackathons, and robotics competitions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of robotics, electronics, embedded systems, programming, automation, and prototyping, along with the ability to inspire students through experiential and project-based learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Classroom Teaching
● Conduct engaging robotics sessions using activity-based and project-based learning methodologies.
● Teach robotics concepts through practical demonstrations, experiments, and engineering challenges.
● Create an interactive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, innovation, logical thinking, and problem solving.
Lesson Planning & Preparation
● Prepare lesson plans, activity guides, and project resources based on the curriculum.
● Organize robotics kits, electronic components, sensors, tools, and learning materials before every session.
● Adapt lesson delivery to suit different age groups and learning abilities.
Student Mentoring & Assessment
● Observe, mentor, and evaluate students throughout the learning journey.
● Provide technical guidance during robot design, assembly, programming, and testing.
● Assess students on technical understanding, practical skills, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
● Maintain student progress records and project documentation.
Robotics Project Development
● Guide students in designing, building, programming, testing, and improving robotics projects and automated systems.
● Teach robotics concepts including mechanical design, electronics, automation, embedded systems, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
● Mentor students in assembling robotic prototypes using structural components, motors, sensors, controllers, and communication modules.
● Introduce students to embedded programming using microcontrollers and robotics development platforms.
● Guide students in integrating sensors, motors, displays, wireless communication modules, and IoT concepts into robotics applications.
● Encourage students to follow the engineering design process — from concept development and prototyping to testing, debugging, and continuous improvement.
Competition & Event Preparation
● Train students for robotics competitions, hackathons, STEM exhibitions, workshops, and technical events.
● Mentor students in robot demonstrations, technical presentations, and project documentation.
● Support the planning and execution of robotics workshops, innovation challenges, and STEM programs.
STEM Lab Management
● Maintain robotics kits, electronic components, tools, batteries, development boards, and laboratory equipment.
● Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of components while following laboratory safety procedures.
● Monitor inventory and report damaged or missing materials.
● Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging STEM laboratory.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Technical Skills
● Strong understanding of robotics fundamentals, automation, electronics, and embedded systems.
● Experience in designing, assembling, programming, and troubleshooting robotics projects.
● Good understanding of electronic components, electrical circuits, and hardware integration.
● Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi Pico, ESP32, or similar development boards.
● Knowledge of embedded programming using Arduino IDE, C/C++, MicroPython, Python, or Scratch-based programming platforms.
● Experience interfacing sensors such as ultrasonic, IR, line follower, colour, temperature, humidity, IMU, accelerometer, gyroscope, and distance sensors.
● Knowledge of actuators including servo motors, DC motors, geared motors, stepper motors, BLDC motors, relays, and motor drivers.
● Familiarity with wireless communication modules such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RF, and basic IoT applications.
● Knowledge of CAD software for robotics design and prototype development.
● Basic knowledge of 3D printing, laser cutting, rapid prototyping, PCB basics, and digital fabrication techniques.
● Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware integration, embedded programming, and robotics system development.

QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Science, or a related field.
● Fresh graduates and candidates with 3 –4 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
● Experience in STEM education, robotics development, automation projects, or maker education will be an added advantage.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The role involves conducting classes in STEM labs, facilitating robotics workshops, mentoring students on technical projects, and supporting competitions, exhibitions, hackathons, and academic events. Occasional travel may be required for school programs, training sessions, and STEM competitions.
