Lab of Future is looking for a creative and technically skilled VFX / Design Trainer – Advanced AI VFX to train learners in the rapidly evolving world of generative AI, cinematic content creation and AI-powered visual effects.
The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of VFX production principles, cinematography and visual storytelling with hands-on expertise in modern generative AI tools and prompt-based production workflows.
This role focuses on AI-powered VFX and content creation rather than conventional production software such as After Effects, Nuke, Blender, Maya, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical, hands-on training in AI-generated VFX, cinematic video generation and AI-powered digital content creation.
- Teach text-to-video, image-to-video, video-to-video and reference-based generation workflows.
- Train learners in advanced prompting for cinematic shots, characters, environments, camera movements, lighting and visual effects.
- Teach techniques for maintaining consistency of characters, environments, objects, costumes and visual styles across multiple shots.
- Guide learners in creating AI-generated effects such as explosions, fire, smoke, rain, water, destruction, transformations and futuristic environments.
- Teach learners how to convert scripts, ideas and storyboards into structured AI-generated shot sequences.
- Explain key VFX and cinematic principles including shot planning, continuity, perspective, scale, lighting, camera movement, framing and visual realism.
- Guide learners on concepts such as green screen, compositing, masking, tracking, match-moving and CGI integration.
- Evaluate and demonstrate relevant generative AI platforms and continuously update workflows as new tools emerge.
- Troubleshoot common AI-generation issues including character inconsistency, distorted motion, anatomy errors, object deformation, flickering and continuity problems.
- Review learner projects and provide constructive creative and technical feedback.
- Mentor learners in developing professional AI-VFX portfolios and showreels.
- Develop practical assignments, creative briefs, assessments and project-based learning activities.
- Keep curriculum, prompt libraries and workflow guides updated with emerging AI models and technologies.
- Promote responsible AI practices, copyright awareness, content authenticity, brand safety and awareness of deepfake-related risks.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong practical experience in VFX, visual storytelling, cinematography or digital content production.
- Hands-on expertise with modern Generative AI / AI-VFX tools.
- Strong prompt engineering and AI content-generation skills.
- Good understanding of cinematic composition, camera movement, lighting, perspective and visual continuity.
- Ability to create and maintain consistent AI-generated characters, environments and visual styles.
- Strong troubleshooting and visual quality-control skills.
- Ability to develop practical, project-based learning experiences.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to learners.
- Passion for emerging creative technologies and willingness to continuously experiment with new AI tools.
Tools & Platforms
Experience with platforms such as Veo, Runway, Kling, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, Adobe Firefly, Luma, Pika, Sora, Flux, Topaz AI or comparable generative AI platforms is highly desirable.
