JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a passionate STEM Trainer – Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver engaging, hands-on AI learning experiences for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 and beyond (18+ years). The trainer will conduct activity-based classes, mentor students on AI and programming projects, monitor their progress, and prepare them for workshops, hackathons, exhibitions, and AI competitions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, programming, machine learning, data science, embedded systems, and emerging technologies, along with the ability to inspire students through experiential and project-based learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Classroom Teaching
- Conduct engaging Artificial Intelligence sessions using activity-based and project-based learning methodologies.
- Teach AI concepts through interactive activities, real-world applications, and hands-on projects.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages logical thinking, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
Lesson Planning & Preparation
- Prepare lesson plans, coding exercises, datasets, and project resources based on the curriculum.
- Organize computers, development boards, AI tools, software platforms, and learning materials before every session.
- Adapt lesson delivery to suit different age groups and learning abilities.
Student Mentoring & Assessment
- Observe, mentor, and evaluate students throughout the learning journey.
- Provide technical guidance during coding, AI model development, and project implementation.
- Assess students on conceptual understanding, programming skills, logical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Maintain student progress records and project documentation.
AI Project Development
- Guide students in developing projects using block-based programming, Python, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science.
- Teach programming fundamentals using visual programming platforms before progressing to Python and advanced programming concepts.
- Introduce students to AI concepts such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, computer vision, natural language processing, recommendation systems, and responsible AI.
- Guide students in collecting, cleaning, visualizing, and analysing data for AI and Data Science projects.
- Mentor students in integrating AI applications with sensors, cameras, microcontrollers, and embedded systems where applicable.
- Encourage students to design, test, evaluate, and improve AI solutions using the engineering design and problem-solving process.
Competition & Event Preparation
- Train students for AI competitions, coding challenges, hackathons, exhibitions, and STEM events.
- Mentor students in technical presentations, demonstrations, and project documentation.
- Support AI workshops, coding boot camps, and innovation programs.
STEM Lab Management
- Maintain computers, AI software, development boards, electronic components, sensors, and other learning resources.
- Ensure proper maintenance of hardware, software, and laboratory equipment.
- Monitor inventory and report damaged or missing materials.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and collaborative learning environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science fundamentals.
- Proficiency in block-based programming platforms and Python programming.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning workflows, model training, evaluation, and basic deployment.
- Understanding of data collection, data cleaning, visualization, and analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with computer vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), generative AI, and AI ethics.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi Pico, ESP32, or similar development boards.
- Knowledge of embedded programming using Arduino IDE, MicroPython, Python, or C/C++.
- Experience integrating sensors, cameras, IoT devices, and embedded systems with AI applications.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, VS Code, and Git is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and digital fabrication techniques is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for software, hardware, and AI applications.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with 3 - 4 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in STEM education, programming, AI development, or coding instruction will be an added advantage.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The role involves conducting classes in STEM labs, facilitating coding workshops, mentoring students on AI projects, and preparing students for hackathons, competitions, exhibitions, and academic events. Occasional travel may be required for school programs, workshops, and STEM competitions.
